Regional
Championship
A SkillsUSA Champion's journey begins at Regional Championship. Schools sent their best competitors to demonstrate technical skill, knowledge, and overall mastery in their field. The top champions will move onto State Championship.

Regional Championships are divided into SkillsUSA Ohio's six regions; Northwest, North Central, Northeast, Southwest, South Central, and Southeast. These events are hosted at a multitude of venues, which include high schools, career centers, colleges, universities, and businesses. The majority of Regional Championships take place throughout February and early March.
For more information or dates for your Regional Championship please check out the EVENTS page. If you are unsure of what region you will compete in reach out to a local advisor or contact us.

State
Championship
The SkillsUSA Ohio State Championship is where the best of Ohio come together to compete in this two-day event. Over one-hundred competitions will take place in the capital city of Columbus, Ohio. Champions who take home the gold will have a chance to go on to compete at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.

SkillsUSA Ohio State Championship takes place two days in April. The first day of the conference is competition, the second day is the award ceremony. Champions find out live at the ceremony if they will be continuing onto the National Leadership and Skills Conference.

Some SkillsUSA events automatically go straight to State and do not have a regional event. The majority of events, however, send their first place or top three champions from Regionals to compete at State. We hope to see you at this annual event that hosts thousands of members from across the state.

National
Championship
Taking place in the second half of June, SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC) is the biggest SkillsUSA event to attend. Hosting all 50 states, Washington D.C. and 2 U.S. territories the event brings the nations top champions together to come and compete in one to two days in competition during a week long event.

States will get to experience a professional and competitive culture unlike any other. Students and advisors both will get to experience the National Opening Ceremony, Champions Night, over 100 competitions, the National Award Ceremony, and much more throughout the entire week.

The event has welcomed international guests, celebrities, spokespersons, television show hosts, Presidential Cabinet Members, CEO's, and many more who come to observe the incredible event. After hosting over a hundred secondary and post-secondary competitions over multiple days, members find out the final night who will become the national champion in their trade.

WORLDSKILLS:
Students who win 1st place at the National Leadership and Skills Conference have a potential chance of being selected to represent the United States of America at WorldSkills, competing across the world at an event that hosts almost 70 countries.
