Officer Candidates

Ohio has a long and prestigious history of State and National Officers. 

​

We are proud of our officer program and we believe that it is one of the strongest in the Nation!

​

These students serve as the Ambassadors and students trainers for SkillsUSA Ohio. They are responsible for peer to peer training at leadership events and they serve as the Masters of Ceremony at our competitions. They perform the Opening Ceremonies and playing key roles in the structure of awards presentations at these events.

​

These students are also given unique opportunities reserved for our officers such as prestigious speaking connections, extensive leadership training, and outreach and advocacy opportunities

​

March 14th - Test Requests Due

March 30th - All Applications Due

April 24th - State Championship Elections

Becoming a

State Advisor

The State Advisor Program is prestigious in Ohio. These individuals support our schools and our program by functioning as leadership staff at our events and serving as liaisons to the schools that may have chapter questions or are trying to start a new chapter.  We are looking for excited and dynamic individuals to fill these roles. 

​

State Advisors are selected by Region- The regions include Northwest, Southwest, North Central, South Central, Northeast and Southeast.

​

Our goal is to have 5 Advisors for each of the 6 Regions, however, if not enough applicants are received from a region those positions will be filled from another Region. 

​

As a State Advisor you will also become a member of our State Staff, having an active role at our State Championships.
